Just Associates Appoints Megan Munns Project Supervisor

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Oct. 17, 2013 – Just Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in data integrity and data quality solutions for the health information exchange (HIE), health information management (HIM), health informatics (HI) and health information technology (HIT) markets, has appointed Megan Munns as a Project Supervisor. In this position, Munns will leverage her extensive Epic certifications and experience to support IDOptimize^TM for Epic, which improves data integrity and care quality by improving the system’s record match capabilities and increasing duplicate record identification.

“Megan brings to Just Associates a strong background in finance, compliance and system analysis and implementation, all of which are key to helping our clients meet the evolving regulatory, quality and performance needs of today’s rapidly changing healthcare landscape,” said Beth Just, MBA, RHIA, FAHIMA, CEO and President, Just Associates.

Munns, who will also support Just Associates’ data reconciliation and analytics projects, was previously a business systems analyst for Aurora Health Care. There, she was heavily involved in the deployment of Epic software solutions at eight hospitals and a handful of clinics. This experience provided her with significant expertise in testing identity applications and maintaining the integrity of the master patient index (MPI). She also served as the department administrator and privacy officer for Be Well Associates, Inc., where she provided support and guidance on the administration of compliance, financials and personal aspects of the healthcare organization.

Munns received a Bachelor of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management from The College of Saint Scholastica. She is Epic Certified in Coding and Abstracting, Release of Information, Deficiency Tracking and Identity, and is a Registered Health Information Administrator. Munns is a member of AHIMA, HIMSS, the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association and the Wisconsin Epic User Group. She is a past member of the Northeastern Minnesota Health Information Management Association.
