Amphion Medical Solutions Appoints Subbu Ravi as COO

MADISON, Wis. – (Sept. 19, 2013) – Amphion Medical Solutions, a leading provider of advanced transcription and coding solutions and services, announced today the appointment of Subbu Ravi to the new position of chief operating officer (COO). In this role, Ravi is responsible for Amphion’s overall strategic growth and will lead product development, sales and marketing, and IT.

Ravi has held leadership positions in start-up, early growth and turnaround stages of such companies as Symphony Data Corporation (Zavata / Apollo Health Street), Strategic Health Data Corporation, Indiainfo.com, Rediff.com and Tata Interactive. Prior to joining Amphion, he was vice president of healthcare IT solutions and product development at Symphony Corporation and acting COO of Symphony Care-Population Health Management. Previously, Ravi was with J Walter Thompson’s Fulcrum media buying division. He has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences and a Master of Business Administration from Bharathiar University in India.

Ravi notes there is a major convergence underway in the processes and technologies supporting various healthcare operations, including medical record management, revenue cycle, health information management (HIM), population management and finance. In particular, HIM owns more than 70 percent of patient information that remains untapped despite its potential to influence quality, risk and financial reporting and impact accountable care.
