MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Aug. 30, 2010 — In response to growing consumer demand for easy and convenient access to comprehensive, user-friendly drug information, Wolters Kluwer Health offers retail pharmacies Facts & Comparisons® Patient Facts Online. The innovative web service integrates easily with any pharmacy website for on-demand delivery of consumer-appropriate, authoritative drug information based upon the company's flagship drug information product, Facts & Comparisons eAnswers.

Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, is featuring Facts & Comparisons Patient Facts Online in Booth #1529 at the NACDS 2010 Pharmacy & Technology Conference, taking place Aug. 28–31 in San Diego. With Patient Facts Online, consumers can view drug monographs, search by drug name, check drug-drug and drug-food/ethanol interactions and identify pills using the drug image and imprint database.

For maximum flexibility, Facts & Comparisons Patient Facts Online is available in two services: Web Service and Hosted Web Service.

With Web Service, the pharmacy's website makes a web service call using .net, Java or PHP. Wolters Kluwer Health provides simple style sheets to apply to HTML and guidelines for adding calls to the pharmacy site. Hosted Web Service allows online access to an administrative site for additional HTML customization of banner, footer and side panels; fonts; and custom buttons.
